Callie ordered a slice of pizza, scouting for a table as she did so. Eventually, she spotted one that was in one of the further corners of the food court, but hey, she'd take it. As soon as she paid for the pizza, Callie headed straight for the table, putting the pizza slice down before sitting. She took a seat, leaning her bags from Hot Topic and Bath and Body Works against the leg of the table. She pulled out her iPod and popped her purple headphones into her ears to try to block out the noises of the mall while she opened a text book and studied. The mall was an odd place to study, but Callie preferred it over the library or a bookstore; she hated feeling isolated in a quiet (and sometimes lonely) place like either of those. She loved being around people. The only problem was that she needed to study for a history exam she had in a few days and Callie hated history. She would find excuses to not study, but that's why she brought her iPod. If she listened to music, it'd distract her from other people's conversations.
After one last glance around the mall, Callie looked down at her iPod and put on her current obsession; the Princess and the Frog soundtrack. Callie couldn't help herself. She loved the movie and the music, and she knew it was an odd thing to be obsessed over, especially at her age. But as long as no one knew, no harm, no foul. Right?
