i never meant for it to hurt. Kaleb wasn’t exactly himself for the moment and anyone who knew him could probably tell by the way he was grinning like an idiot. His emerald eyes were glazed over and he trudged down the beach, nearly close enough to the shore to have the waves splash him – not that he noticed at all. The sun was about an hour away from setting, and when it did fall into the sea Kaleb would probably do something stupid that would get him killed.
What would the news reporters say? What would the police think? Who would they go to? Kaleb didn’t have anyone in the world. “Orphan commits suicide on the coast.” That’s all they could say, well that or, “It appears to of been an accident, looks like he consumed too much of an illegal drug and could no longer control his body.” Whatever they’d say they’d obviously be making up some kind of bullshit.
Tripping over his own feet Kaleb fell, his mouth being filled with sand. He pushed himself onto his side and coughed up the mud before laying there and watching the tide rise and splashed him. “Ugh.” He grunted being dragged along a little before clawing at the ground and pulling himself away from the shore a little. The redhead was sobering up only slightly because of the water that had been splashed on him. Other than that he was completely gone.
ooc;; totally crappy post

take today and make my way through the towns, the streets, the POURING RAIN'cause some days, it seems like the CLOUDS won't stay away It was getting darker and darker outside as the sun was slowly starting to set, disappearing little by little over the horizon. But that didn't faze Zackari at all; the lanky teenage boy kept walking along the shore, his hazel eyes glued to the sandy shore on which he was walking. The boy's calloused hands were stuck deep into the pockets of his dark-wash skinny jeans, his white V-neck shirt flapping in the slight breeze. Zack's worn-out, plain black Converse kicked up the sand as the boy aimlessly walked along, his mind miles away.
Sure, he should be at home; there was homework that needed to be done, tests that needed to be studied for, songs that needed to be learned on his beloved acoustic guitar. But Zackari was so unwanted, so despised in his own household, that he would do anything to get away from his parents, if only for an hour. So, logically, the beach was the place to go.
Different things -mostly music related- were mingling around in the boys mind when he noticed that he wasn't alone on the sandy shore. A redheaded boy, about the same age as Zackari, perhaps a little older, was laying down in the wet sand. The waves splashed up against his body occasionally, getting him wet. With a crinkled brow, Zackari wondered if the boy was passed out.. or dead.
Biting down on his full, bottom lip, the teenager walked over to the redhead and knelt down beside him, making sure to stay away from the water. "Hey, uhm.." he said, in his usual quiet voice. "You okay..?" Talking really wasn't Zackari's thing, mainly because he had zero friends, but he really wanted to make sure the older boy was fine.

A voice. A voice that was barley louder than the waves or the buzzing in Kaleb’s ears but somehow he grabbed onto it. That voice pulled him back down to the real world and caused his eyes to open. The first thing he saw was shoes, Converse to be exact. He had to concentrate to remember exactly what the words the other boy spoke meant and when he found the correct definitions he didn’t know what they meant. Was he okay? Mentally or Physically?
“I dunno,” Kaleb mumbled, raising his eyes to look up at the kid. He was a little younger with brunette hair and well, cute. Baby face cute. Normally Kaleb would’ve been immediately all over him but right then, he somehow didn’t feel flirty. His heart – and head – hurt. After several minutes the redhead dug his fingers into the mud and pushed himself onto his butt. His eyes bore into the younger kid, “Kaleb.” He mumbled before grinning like an idiot and sticking out his hand.

When the redheaded boy mumbled an almost inaudible "I dunno," Zackari let out a small sigh of relief. If the boy had really happened to be, well, dead, Zackari would have freaked out and panicked. Then, when the boy sat up in the muddy sand and looked at Zackari, the younger instantly ripped his gaze away and stared out into the navy waves of the ocean. Eye contact was something that Zack was also terrible at; he always avoided looking directly at people, fearing that they would see something within his eyes if he ever looked directly back at them. Zack had too many secrets and was way too paranoid and scared to ever look someone directly in the eyes, or even look at their face if they were looking back at him.
But from what Zackari had noticed of the older's face, he could tell that the guy was pretty cute, to say the least. A slight blush crept up Zack's neck and onto his cheeks as the thought entered his mind. He prayed that the boy named Kaleb wouldn't be able to notice, considering it was getting darker and darker outside by the second. Still biting his lip and refusing to look directly at the other's face, Zackari nodded. "Uhm, cool.. I'm.. Uh, I'm Zackari. Uh, Zack for short," he mumbled, already feeling like a complete rambling idiot. "Oh, and, uh.. you sure you're okay?" the big-eyed brunette asked.

“Nope.” Kaleb answered casually, grabbing a handful of water and splashing it on his face. Alright, not completely buzzed anymore. “Are you okay?” he shot back suddenly, grabbing Zackari’s chin and inspecting his eyes. “You’re not high,” he leaned in and smelt the younger kids breath, “Or drunk.” Releasing him he sat back on the sand, “So why are you out here?” A smirked played on Kaleb’s lips and he raised an eyebrow. Something was beginning to light up in Kaleb. He went from being a depressed little kid to a flirting adult in a matter of minutes. Bipolar? Maybe.
After a few more minutes Kaleb sighed, “Alright,” he dragged himself to his feet, and grabbed Zack’s arm, “Let’s go.” He began to walk toward the water and didn’t stop until both of them were knee deep in the salty ocean water and getting splashed with it. Kaleb began to dance around into the water, spinning in circles and splashing Zack with water. That grin returned, the grin that said, “I don’t five a fuck.”

The blush on Zackari's cheeks only deepened when the older boy grabbed his face and closely inspected him. It was true, he wasn't drunk nor high; in all honesty, Zack had never done a single drug or had so much as a sip of any alcoholic beverage. It just wasn't something he ever really did. But he figured as much that Kaleb probably was one of the two - drunk or high.
Without answering Kaleb's first question of why he was outside, walking along the beach, completely sober, Zack felt himself being dragged out into the cold, dark water of the ocean. He didn't protest verbally -of course not, that would be completely out of character for him- but Zack's hazel eyes did widen in shock. Not just from the freezing temperature of the water, but also because a semi-stranger had dragged him out there in the first place.
An involuntary squeal passed through Zackari's lips as Kaleb started to splash water at him. His favorite pair of jeans were already soaked and his 'BE THE EXAMPLE' shirt was thoroughly drenched as well, making it basically see-through. "What are you doing?" he squeaked, trying to shield his face with his hands.

A smirk twisted it's way onto Kaleb's lips hearing the boy squeal. "C'mon," he teased, "Live a little." he pinched Zackari's cheek before laughing and spreading his arms. "I AM SPARTA!!" He cried before falling back into the water. Salt filled his mouth and burned his eyes, but he didn't care. He dug his fingers into the muddy sand, holding himself under water and looking up at a blurry Zackari.
What would he do? It looked like Kaleb was drowning - hell it felt like he was drowning - but Zackari was so timid, would he even notice the red heads absence? Then again he made it quite obvious when he was around so surely Zack would notice, and if he didn't... well, then Kaleb was a goner.

Of course, another dark blush crept onto Zackari's cheeks when Kaleb pinched them. "Live a little. Zackari crinkled his brow up slightly. Was he boring or something? Before he really had time to ponder that, Kaleb had yelled something and then fallen back into the water.
When the slightly older boy didn't come up a second later, Zack started to panic. He could see the redheaded boy; why wasn't he moving? Why was he just staying under the water? With wide, hazel eyes, Zack gulped, starting to seriously freak out. Was the boy okay? Was he drowning? What should Zackari do?
So, quickly, he stepped toward where the boy was submerged. Leaning down, he grabbed one of the other boy's arms and tugged, trying to pull him out from under the water.

Kaleb smiled, feeling Zack's hand on his arm. But before his reached the surface Kaleb's right hand grabbed the back of Zack's head. When Kaleb's head came up above the water he breathed for a moment before touching his forehead to the other boys. "Thanks." He chuckled seductively, tracing Zack's jaw with his nose as he left arm came around him and pulled Kaleb's body against his own.
Kaleb's tongue shot out of his mouth and began to lick Zackari's neck, making patterns over his pale skin. Something about this, feeling the two of them pressed together, felt right. The sun was nearly out of the sky. Causing their shadows to become longer in the sea. Kaleb was in his own little world of experimentations. He was watching Zack intently with blazing, lust filled emerald eyes. Something was about to happen...

Zackari's breath caught in his throat when Kaleb put their foreheads together. His hazel eyes were wide with shock, his mouth hanging slightly open. "Thanks," Zackari wanted to melt right then, just with that one word. That was strange, though - he'd only just met this boy, hadn't he? He should be terrified -he was a little shocked, no doubt- but a tiny part of him, very tiny part was a little excited. After all, the Kaleb boy was really attractive.
And then Kaleb's tongue was on Zackari's neck. The younger boy gulped, closing his eyes and breathing short, shallow breaths. His body was shaking slightly, partly because of the cold and partly because he was nervous as heck. Biting down on his bottom lip -his terrible habit- Zackari wondered if Kaleb was only doing that because he was drunk and/or high. It seemed Kaleb was in fact gay, though - which did simplify things. A little. Zackari wanted to let out a soft moan, but didn't dare to. He kept his eyes shut and didn't move from where Kaleb held him.
After a moment, though, something inside Zack made a split-second decision for him. Without really putting much thought into what he was doing, Zack cupped Kaleb's face with one hand and moved his mouth away from his neck. In another split-second, and completely out of character, Zackari pressed his lips against the older boy's, ignoring the salty taste of the water that was still on Kaleb's face.
